International committee

Rotary International is a worldwide organisation of over 100,00 local Rotary Clubs and Just like us in Christchurch, they offer service to their local community. It is however when we all join together in world wide projects that "Humanity in motion" makes a massive change in the world.

Current world projects include

Polio

Working with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The World Health Organisation and UNICEF, since it commenced it`s Polio Plus programme in 1985, more than TWO billion children have been given the oral polio vaccine.

Shelterbox

Rotary also has its own charity - The Rotary Foundation - which funds the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty throughout the world. To learn more about Foundation click here
